Just a few weeks after winning the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup France title, Marcus Amand has been selected by Porsche Motorsport to be the new Porsche Junior for 2026.
The Franco-Finnish driver adds his name to the list of juniors who have competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup France: Jean-Karl Vernay, Mathieu Jaminet, Julien Andlauer, Ayhancan Güven and Alessandro Ghirreti. This list continues to grow over the years, demonstrating the quality of the French series.
The 19-year-old’s rise has been meteoric. After competing in various karting categories in his youth, he moved into single-seater racing in 2021 at the age just 15, going on to compete in FRECA in 2023, where he secured one pole position ahead of a well-known name: Kimi Antonelli.
In 2024, Marcus Amand discovered GT racing and the Porsche Carrera Cup France. A season with the Schumacher CLRT team saw him finish in an impressive 4th place overall, with four podium finishes in 12 races. But above all, the young driver clinched the Rookie title after a perfect second half of the season with six wins in six races in the category.
This title would lay the foundations for a crucial 2025 season in his career. Determined to win the overall championship this time around, he first secured his first pole position in Dijon before claiming his first victory in Misano. Consistently in the top three overall, he added a second victory in Valencia, which allowed him to go into the final round at Paul Ricard in the lead ahead of Mathys Jaubert and the duo Marvin Klein and Paul Cauhaupé. He ended the season with a third victory in the final race to clinch the title in only his second season.
Selected by PCCF representatives for the Porsche Shoot-Out with Paul Cauhaupé, he took part in four days of testing: two at the Porsche Esports Performance Center in Cologne and two at the Estoril Circuit. This selection allowed him to demonstrate his talent, which did not go unnoticed by Porsche Motorsport, who decided to name him Porsche Junior alongside Dutchman Flynt Schuring (Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland).
In 2026, they will both benefit from a one-season contract with the German manufacturer, which will provide them with financial support and an all-around coaching, enabling them to take part in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
Marcus Amand (2026 Porsche Junior): “I am very happy and proud to join the Porsche family. This is a major step in my career and I am ready to give my all and work hard to progress and have a successful season. I would like to thank the Schumacher CLRT team for the trust they have placed in me, as well as Come Ledogar for his support and guidance. I would also like to thank the Porsche Carrera Cup France and its staff. They have always supported me and shown their confidence in me by selecting me for the shoot-out. This selection is a huge motivation, and I am really looking forward to start this new adventure as a Porsche Junior driver.”
