PCCF | The 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup France Junior is Macéo Capietto

As it does every year, the Porsche Carrera Cup France organized its Junior Program selection, an unmissable event aimed at identifying and supporting young talent in motorsport. This year’s winner was Macéo Capietto, who succeeds Karen Gaillard.

Over the years, this selection process has revealed many drivers such as Alessandro Ghiretti and Mathys Jaubert, who have since reached the highest levels of competition, confirming the program’s reputation as a real springboard to the elite of motorsport.

At the beginning of November, eight pre-selected young drivers gathered at the Circuit Paul Ricard, driven by the same ambition: to join the PCCF family and follow in the footsteps of Karen Gaillard, winner of the previous edition. Competing this year with Schumacher CLRT under the Iron Dames banner, the young driver has shown steady progress throughout the season, punctuated by several podium finishes in the Rookie category, confirming the formative and demanding nature of this program.

Macéo Capietto (ELMS), Paul Alberto (Ligier JS Cup France), Ethan Gialdini (FFSA GT), Léo Jousset (Alpine Elf Cup Series), Malo Bolliet (F4 France), Dylan Estre (Hoosier Formula Cup), Pablo Esteves (Rotax Max Challenge France), and Mattéo Spirgel (KZ1 European Championship) were the drivers selected by the championship management.

The new format introduced in 2024 was repeated again this year. Candidates began with a day focused on physical and mental preparation with championship partner 321 Perform, media training and individual interviews. The next day, the candidates went to the northern part of the Circuit Paul Ricard to show their performance at the wheel of a Porsche 911 Cup Type 992, with sessions supervised by Patrick Pilet. At the end of this selection process and after deliberation, the Porsche Carrera Cup France organizing committee chose Macéo Capietto as Junior 2026.

At 19, the Frenchman first start in karting before moving on to single-seaters. After finishing third in F4 France, the native of Montereau-Fault-Yonne in Seine-et-Marne moved up to FRECA. In 2024, the Frenchman decided to join the European Le Mans Series at the wheel of an Iron Lynx LMP2. Winner at Mugello, he discovered the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This season, the future Porsche Carrera Cup France Junior returned to the European Endurance Championship and the legendary Le Mans race, which he finished just off the podium. His future now lies with the Porsche Carrera Cup France.

Macéo Capietto, 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup France Junior: “Becoming Porsche Carrera Cup France Junior is a wonderful opportunity. Joining this championship in this role will inevitably allow me to show what I can do and be at the forefront. The two days at Le Castellet were very intense. I gave it my all. I know that winning this selection will be a big help for my future. Now it’s up to me to give my best and try to climb the Porsche pyramid with the support of Porsche France.”
